Mental health promotion and prevention in university students

he European research project PERMANENS aims to develop a prototype clinical decision support software (CDSS), designed to assist clinicians in the assessment and care of patients presenting with self-harming behaviours in the emergency department. Trained with evidence accumulated in clinical settings and based on the patient’s individual clinical history, the CDSS will provide clinicians with personalized risk profiles for different relevant adverse outcomes, including self-harming behaviours or suicide. The CDSS will provide a summary of the most critical risk factors and propose an evidence-based treatment plan.
