B&L: From research to market: how to validate the viability of your idea

31 August, 2026

Before developing a business plan, applying for a patent or seeking financing, it is essential to check whether a scientific and technological idea really responds to a need and can provide value.

In this Breakfast&Learn session we will discover how to adapt the  Lean Startup methodology  to the scientific and technological field and what tools can help validate research before investing time and resources in its development.

Through practical cases, we will explore how to identify real market needs, check if there is a fit between the problem and the proposed solution and detect who would be willing to bet on it.

During the session we will address:

  • Lean Startup for scientists:  a methodology to accelerate the transfer of knowledge and value to society and the market.
  • From research to a real need:  how to identify and validate that a scientific and technological proposal responds to a specific problem.
  • The problem-solution fit:  how to check if the proposed solution adds value and who would be willing to bet on it.
  • Practical cases:  real examples of application of the methodology in scientific and technological projects.
