Stress
A smartphone-based solution aimed to reduce presurgical stress of patients and caregivers during the entire care path
Stress Adaptive Manager (SAM) is a technological solution composed of a mobile application, aimed for patients and caregivers, and a website platform, addressed to healthcare professionals follow-up, with the aim of empowering surgical patients throughout their Patient Journey: from the moment they are notified that they must undergo a certain surgery, until they are definitively discharged. With SAM, patients can better manage their stress derived from surgery, being able to always measure it using traditional or innovative methodologies and taking steps to reduce it.
The solution includes objective measurement of stress level of the patient, recommendation of biofeedback and mindfulness techniques, personalized music, virtual reality content of the hospital environment, allows a closer follow-up by health professionals, among other facilities.
Funding: European Union’s Horizon 2020 under grant agreement nº 727585.
