International initiatives

The MWC-4YFN 2024 concluded with a very positive balance, marking a milestone in our trajectory of innovation and international projection. We established contacts with sector leaders, R+D+i networks, entrepreneurs and innovators, consolidating key relationships for future projects and strategic collaborations.

We attended conferences given by prominent industry leaders, as well as the Digital Health & Wellness Summit 2024, where we delved into the latest trends and advances in the field of digital health and well-being and we received a visit to our stand from the Minister of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Manel Balcells, who recognized the relevance of our innovation activities and their impact on the health sector.

The MWC-4YFN 2024 became a unique platform to boost innovation, encourage the exchange of knowledge and establish collaborations of high strategic value.

In May 2024, we welcomed innovation professionals from the regions of Västerbotten and Norrbotten (Sweden): Nils Sandberg, Project Strategist, Head of EU Project Office at Region Västerbotten, Tomas Gustafsson, Innovation Strategist, Head of Innovation Office at Region Västerbotten and Mats Falck Project Leader, Supp ort Office for Life Science and Health at The Innovation Office, Umeå University.

During the visit, collaborations with the TECSAM Network were explored and institutions in the mental health and innovation sector were visited in Catalonia: the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park, the Parc Taulí Hospital, the Clínic Hospital, the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, the WeMind cluster, La Federació Salut Mental Catalunya, Biocat and ACCIÓ. The main objective was to share success stories, encourage joint research and establish strong links between the two regions to promote innovative projects in mental health.

From the TECSAM Network we organize sessions for international students with the aim of explaining the ecosystem of innovation in mental health, sharing knowledge, promoting innovation and research, and putting Sant Boi on the map as a hub of innovation in mental health.

The first mental health investment forum brought together 5 startups and 4 innovative projects competing in the II Innovation Competition.

The event, held in English, became a key meeting point for national and international investors, as well as startups and projects focused on mental health.
