Venture Philanthropy: Strategic Financing for Impactful Projects
By Josep Biosca, Investor Community Manager at Ship2BFundation

In the B&L of October, we had the participation of Josep Biosca, from Fundación Ship2B , to talk about financing for projects with social and environmental impact.
Venture Philanthropy is much more than financing: it is a strategy for investing in social projects with the aim of maximizing impact. During the session, three key elements were highlighted:
-
Tailor-made financing: soft loans, conditional subsidies or equity investment, depending on the phase and risk of each project.
-
Non-financial support: advice, mentoring and training to make projects more sustainable and scalable.
-
Impact measurement: understanding who benefits, what changes are generated and how to optimize efforts to achieve real results.
It has also been explained how Venture Philanthropy allows us to combine economic return with social and environmental transformation , mobilizing resources and talent to face society’s great challenges.
