Digital platform that optimizes the management and monitoring of people with depressive symptoms and anxiety in primary care

PRESTO is a professional decision support platform based on artificial intelligence for people with depressive symptoms and anxiety in primary care and healthcare providing optimal and personalized care and treatment. Through data processing and the use of digital technologies (machine learning) it provides a comprehensive response to people’s mental health problems and contributes to a better prognosis and quality of life while optimizing existing healthcare resources and waiting lists.

The platform includes an app (PRESTOapp) for monitoring symptoms and psychological treatment with content developed entirely by specialists in psychology and psychiatry at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. The application incorporates natural language processing technology developed by the research team in collaboration with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) for the detection of cognitive distortions and personalized responses.

In addition, the group also carries out other digital projects, such as the INTREPIBD-TIMEBASE project, which seeks to identify digital biomarkers in patients at different stages of bipolar disorder through state-of-the-art research wearables.
