The TECSAM Network renews its recognition as the R&D&I Network of the Generalitat
The initiative adds 14 new members and grows by 28% compared to the last edition

The Network for Innovation in New Technologies in Mental Health (TECSAM Network) reaffirms the confidence of the Generalitat of Catalonia to continue promoting innovation and transfer in the field of mental health.
Created in 2020 by the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park, within the Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute (IRSJD), the TECSAM Network once again receives the trust of the Department of Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya , through the Agency for the Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR), for a period of three years.
In this new stage, the Network has 63 research groups belonging to 25 leading institutions in Catalonia: it adds 14 new members compared to the previous edition, which represents a growth of 28%.
Likewise, in this edition, 29 reference entities in the ecosystem, including innovation hubs, clusters, business associations, accelerators, public entities, individual associations, federations, spinoff cooperatives and companies, were also able to join as members.
The work and action proposal presented by the TECSAM Network has obtained a very high score in the AGAUR evaluation, confirming the consolidation of the Network as a benchmark in the territory and indicating the maturity of its proposal and activities.
Social and economic impact to improve people’s quality of life
The Network’s roadmap is based on four major strategic pillars designed to support innovation and transfer in mental health in Catalonia and generate both social and economic impact:
- Acceleration and promotion of transfer: generation of specific investment forums and other collaboration spaces that connect research groups with society and the business community, facilitating access to new therapeutic and technological solutions.
- Co-creation and inclusion of vulnerable groups as levers of social impact and to promote people’s well-being.
- Training and the promotion of talent among researchers and innovators.
- Promotion of internationalization.
The ultimate objective of the Network is the prevention and promotion of mental health and emotional well-being of the population, and the improvement of the quality of life of people with mental health problems, with special emphasis on vulnerable groups.
