OPEN REGISTRATION: Mental health and technology co-creation workshop
On Tuesday, June 21, the TECSAM Network celebrates the Technology Exploration Day (TED), a free and open co-creation day where we will address mental health challenges from representatives of research, the private sector, public administration and affected people. Do not miss it! WE OPEN REGISTRATION.
We bring together representatives from the world of research, the private sector and startups, public administration and affected people to build new approaches to mental health challenges
The most collaborative mental health innovation event arrives in Barcelona. The TECSAM Network celebrates the Technology Exploration Day (TED) on Tuesday, June 21, a free co-creation day in mental health and technology that will bring together the entire innovative mental health ecosystem with the aim of jointly seeking solutions and new approaches to mental health challenges.
The InGracia space (C/Jesús, 3, 08012 Barcelona) will be the setting for the Technology Exploration Day, an open event that forms part of the 1st Mental Health Innovation Contest organized by the TECSAM Network, and a meeting point and networking of representatives of the different environments involved in mental health innovation: research, affected people, private sector/startups and public administration, in order to encourage the generation of synergies, collaborations and joint proposals in a series of challenges identified by affected people in a Co-creation event held last January by the TECSAM Network.
This conference will include a round table “Mental Health and Technology” that will address the opportunities and challenges that may arise from this binomial, by different expert actors in this area. Thus, we will have the interventions of Magda Casamitjana, director of the Mental Health Pact of Catalonia; Maria J Portella, main researcher of the Mental Health Research Group of the Foundation Institute of Research of the Hospital de Santa Creu i Sant Pau (IR-HSCSP); Ángel Urbina, first vice president of the Federació Salut Mental de Catalunya; Daniel Roca, Regional Market Access Manager at Otsuka; and Albert Garcia i Tormo, Senior Engineer and IP Manager at Koa Health. This space for debate will allow the exchange of opinions about the relationship between mental health challenges and the latest technological innovations.
The day will also give space to the presentation of the challenges identified by the people affected and a workshop/networking dynamic where all the attendees in small groups of 5 to 10 members will seek innovative solutions collaboratively to one or more of these challenges.
At the January co-creation session, many mental health problems were identified thanks to the affected people who participated, such as suicide, early detection and prevention in mental health, stigma and social exclusion, mental health with a gender perspective, among others. As a result of these identified challenges, the TED wants to be a space to deepen these problems and a possible engine to start collaborations between the different agents attending the event to respond to the challenges.
In the I Mental Health Innovation Contest, which the TECSAM Network will announce soon, the different actors of the mental health innovation ecosystem will be able to present their disruptive and innovative solutions addressing one or more of the identified challenges.
The meeting will be held in person at Espacio InGracia (C/Jesús, 3, 08012 Barcelona) and with limited access prior to registration on this form.
This project has been co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
