Kick-off R&D&I Transfer Networks | 2026–2028

We have gathered the 15 R&D&I transfer networks , promoted by the General Directorate of Transfer and Knowledge Society of the Department of Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya , to start the new period 2026–2028.
Key points of the session:
Javier Selva , general director of Knowledge Transfer and Knowledge Society of the Generalitat de Catalunya, highlighted the success of the Networks within the ecosystem and the qualitative leap of this new period, with the increase in the budget to 12.2 million euros and a clear commitment to collaboration between Networks, alignment with public policies, the instruments of the system and internationalization.
Lourdes Puigbarraca , Deputy Director General of Knowledge Transfer and Knowledge Society of the Generalitat de Catalunya, has emphasized Networks as a community with a shared purpose oriented towards the common good, highlighting the good results achieved and the main challenges for the future, such as hybrid profiles, intellectual property strategy, the scaling of technologies and the need for more appropriate transfer tools and indicators.
Rafael González Moreno , director of Knowledge Transfer and Society of the Generalitat de Catalunya, has contextualized the political and strategic framework of the Department and presented the model of community, visibility and communication of the Networks, as well as the program of activities and presence in fairs, congresses and key transfer spaces.
During the session, the 15 R&D&I Networks were also presented, covering strategic areas of the Catalan innovation system. In this context, Judit López Luque , Head of Innovation at the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park and promoter of the #XarxaTECSAM , presented the Network and shared the objectives of this new call, aimed at continuing to be the reference network in mental health in Catalonia, with a commitment to co-creation spaces, internationalization and the consolidation of initiatives such as the Investment Forum and Innovation Day.
Finally, Elsa Delgado Collado , Knowledge Transfer and Society technician, presented the Community’s calendar of activities for 2026, and Nadal Bayà Fons , head of the Knowledge Transfer Area of ??AGAUR, together with Víctor Linares Prenafeta , AGAUR calls technician, explained the new developments regarding the modification of the concession resolution, the changes in members of the Networks and the aspects of justification and payments.
The Networks present were: AccessCat, CLARIAH-CAT, NEUROAGE, Xartec Salut, XWHIN, CYBERCAT, Xarxa RDI-IA, X4HPC, X_AgriTech, XARXATECSAM, BlueNetCat, i4KIDS and i4KIDS-EUROPE, XaRFA, H2CAT and XarSMART .
